A lazy person`s top tips for finding motivation to exercise

I`ve been very very lazy in my life when it comes to exercise but recently I`ve been trying to live healthier, eat better foods and work out more. I`ve been learning how to swim (yes, yes you can laugh now), I`ve been riding my bike in weekends, going to the gym for classes, and even went out running in the mornings! Something I didn`t ever think I would do since I don`t usually run for anything…not even sales, or cookies. However, I still find it hard sometimes to get up and actually do some training so here are my top tips for finding motivation to exercise.

Browse photos of extremely attractive and fit people

There`s nothing more motivating for working out than looking at photos of very fit people. The Victoria`s Secret annual show usually does wonders for me! For extra body envy Pinterest is also a good source. Here a couple photos to help you get started:

Fashionable sportswear

Another excuse for shopping! Getting fashionable & comfortable sports clothing can definitely help in getting your ass off the couch. And most of the pieces you can mix and match with your other clothing for a quick change to a day outfit. I wore my Nike running shoes in this outfit last weekend.

Abusive workout partner

Forget about paying money for a personal trainer, find a workout partner that screams at you, drags you to the gym, and keeps torturing and pushing you throughout the training. Most friends or boyfriends/girlfriends will enjoy doing this for free!

Cookie reward at the end

Exercising for the final reward? Sounds good to me! It can be anything from a cookie to a designer treat if you let`s say manage to stick to your training & diet plan for a year. And yet another excuse for shopping!

  1. I'm a lazy person, but when my weight became alarming, I started to work out, so it help, and you feel so great about you knowing that you did exercice and that you burn calories ^^

  3. Kudos for starting a good exercise regimen while you're still young and looking so good. If looking at those Victoria's Secret models works for you that's great, but I prefer how you look to how they do. I've been contemplating a milder form of the exercise regimen Coco does to get some better shape. I'll just have to imagine the girlfriend. My love interest doesn't stay in touch much and she's thousands of miles away. I'm lucky I have a vivid imagination. By alll means exercise, but remember to love your own body. :)

  4. Some great tips! Another thought is to try one of the workout apps for your phone. There's a zombie running one that makes you feel like you're part of a game or there are others that allow you to check in and earn badges for doing things like lifting so much weight or even just making it to workout 3 times a week.

  5. Natural beauty is something that is God given. It is pure ! You have it in abundance.

    Extreme workouts for a well chiseled body is something artificial. The figure we may get as a result of such activities is not at all natural.

    Workouts for general fitness and wellbeing is good for our body, mind and soul. We must find out such activities that is enjoyable; it will never be boring then. If we develop a mindset that we are doing such things for our own health then we will move our body, will shake it up...

    People discontinue exercise program mostly because of wrong type of motivation, trying to achieve unrealistic goals, adopting unnatural diet etc. Even those celebrities who have achieved sculptured figure lose everything once they stop their workouts.

    Nurture natural beauty...biking is good for you...seems you enjoyed it a lot, from your pics. Looks fashionable too :)
