Blogging Tips: How To Find Motivation To Blog

I sometimes get emails from young girls that have just started their own blog and wonder if I can give them some blogging tips. As probably many of you have experienced, there have been times since I started blogging that I also felt uninspired to write. When you have a full time job or you`re in full time education and you barely have some free time to spend with your friends or family it becomes harder and harder to commit full time to your blog as well. So here are some tips for finding motivation to blog when having a chocolate cake just won`t work.
pro & con list

1) Pros & Cons List
Make a short list with all the pros & cons of you blogging. Although you might have an arms length of small cons such as “I don`t know what to post anymore”, as long as you have one good pro then, as Metallica says, nothing else matters.

2) Take some time off
Taking a few days off from blogging (and all online tools if possible), can be very beneficial for you and your blog. I usually tend to take a few days off when I`m in holiday and although sometimes I still gather material for my blog while I`m there, I only post it when I come back home.

3) Friends or family support
Sometimes you just need that extra push from someone that knows you and your blog and can motivate you to keep writing.

4) Find inspiration from your best past posts
Look through your most popular posts and try to find out why your readers liked them so much.
Was it the content? The catchy title? The promotion you did to bring people back to your site?

5) Get inspired
Read your favourite blogs, watch your favourite movies, go to theatre, gigs, anything that helps you find inspiration for your next article.

6) Set goals
Write down the main reason you are blogging. Is it purely to share your passion? Is it to support your business or school research? This will help you then define your main goals for your blog: getting traffic back to your business site, monetizing the blog, getting a certain number of visits per day, etc.

7) Ask for advice from your readers
Create a poll on your blog and on Facebook & Twitter and ask your visitors what do they like about your blog and what not.

8) Network with other bloggers
Find meetups or blogger networking events where you can chat with other bloggers and exchange tips.

9) Create a routine
It`s much easier to keep blogging when you set yourself a blogging schedule.

10) Don`t give up
Last but not least, don`t give up! If you`re passionate about your blog, then keep pushing through, believe me, it`s worth it!

Are there any other tips you would add to the list?

Delicious London: Medlar Restaurant in Chelsea

Sunday my bf and I headed to the Medlar Restaurant in Chelsea for lunch and it was so amazing I just had to post some photos of the delicious food we ate. Although it`s a Michelin star restaurant the prices were  extremely affordable especially for the lunch menu and I would definitely recommend paying a visit.

I didn`t have a starter as I was afraid I won`t have room for dessert after 2 courses (and for me the dessert is the most important course of the meal!), but my bf had this lovely Crab raviolo with shrimps, leeks and bisque sauce.

For the mains I ordered the white pork and the boy had the beef fillet with snails and chunky chips. It was the first time I tried snails and I actually really liked them! (as you probably have already figured it out I always "taste" my partner`s food as well).

And the desserts..oh my the desserts. Apparently I make this really weird, excited face every time I eat something that I really, really like and I was making it a lot during this course. I basically cleaned the plate and I was ready to order one more, that`s how good it was! If you are looking for a restaurant with great desserts in London, this is the place people!

And of course, lets not forget this is a fashion blog hahah, so here are some photos of the outfit I was wearing. I basically started the look with the hat as I really wanted to wear it out after I bought it about a month ago from Portobello markets, and worked the rest of my outfit around it. It looks like I was going in a safari expedition and I was probably a bit overdressed for the weather as it was surprisingly warm that day but I actually really liked the beige & brown combination.

The bag is a vintage find from the Frock Me Vintage Fashion Fair last week. You didn`t think I came back with empty hands did you? :)

Warehouse Photo Shoot: Postcards from Shoreditch

This week I was very excited to take part in the Warehouse Postcards from Shoreditch campaign which has bloggers and Warehouse staff style and shoot their favourite pieces in Shoreditch, one of the most distinct and artistic areas of London.
After trying a couple of different pieces, I chose to go with one of my wardrobe must haves- a leather biker jacket, soft as butter. The striped tee with lace details I thought complimented very well this gorgeous wine red skinny jeans and gave the outfit a rock`n`roll vibe. And to make the look a bit more feminine and sleek I added nude heels and this lovely nude zip clutch.

I also answered a few questions about my style and my blog so head over to the Warehouse Facebook page to check out my answers and let me know what you think!

Last weekend I spent a lovely morning at the Frock Me Vintage fashion fair in Chelsea and I thought I`d share with you some of the photos I took at the event. As you know I`m a big fan of vintage clothing and this event kinda brought back memories of the time I used to run my own Ebay vintage shop and the days I would spend visiting stores, handpicking the pieces I loved the most, and the excitement I used to feel when they would actually sell.
I must admit that if you love clothes as much as I do sometimes it becomes really, really hard to let go of some of the pieces which resulted many times in me keeping for myself half of the stock designated for the shop.
And I think what I love the most about London fashion is that it celebrates individuality, quirkiness, and attitude. Which is why London is such a great place for vintage as well as you will rarely find two pieces that are the same.

House of Fraser AW13 Press Day

House of Fraser is an iconic premium department store with over 160 years of history in the UK market and last Thursday I got the chance, along with other bloggers, to have a look at their autumn/winter 2013 womenswear collection at their head office in Baker Street.

Loads of leather, wool, printed trousers, 40s and 50s inspired dresses, chunky statement necklaces, and of course a multitude of gorgeous bags!

As you probably already know I have a crush on animal print so I spent a whole lotta time caressing and holding this coat. Even though it was our first "date" I was ready to take it home with me!

Although most of the clothing pieces were in earthy colours, there were many bright coloured or sequined bags and clutches. Loving this Michael Kors pink bag.

And of course this cute Mulberry, soft as a baby bottom.

Some of the pieces will be available in stores as early as July and August which means it`s time to start putting together that shopping list!
