This was my second time at Dehesa, a lovely (and delicious!) Spanish tapas bar in Soho. I`ve been eating a lot of tapas recently but if you look at the photos below who can blame me??
We started with the Jamón Ibérico de Bellota & Ermesenda Toast which was very rich and probably with the best ham I ever tasted.
We followed the ham with the Cod with White Asparagus and Mussels and a Mixed Leaf Salad.
And then the hot dishes. We had last time the pork & lamb so this time we thought we should go for the Beef Bavette and the Grilled Chicken which was definitely a great decision. I could eat this every day.
The Orecchiette with Asparagus, Wild Garlic, Butter Sauce and Black Truffles were probably my boyfriend`s favourite. He actually had the same dish a few nights before at another restaurant and found the flavour of the truffles too strong, but this one had a very subtle and nice flavour.
For dessert we had the Vanilla Semifreddo with Roasted Peaches which was very light and nice but nothing really mind blowing. However I`ve noticed that for tapas bars the focus is mostly on the food and rarely on puddings.

Now I want that dessert, Or a fancy dinner in a lovely place like that!
