Delicious London: Grain Store Restaurant Review

Let me introduce you to the restaurant that has the best lemon tart in London: Grain Store. But more on that later.
The restaurant is located in Kings Cross, next to Central Saint Martins (you know that small fashion school where designers as Alexander McQueen and John Galliano have studied), making it perfect for people watching. The interior is very young, hip, and cool, and most of the diners at lunch time were fashionable women. Probably to fit with those fashionable scene the menu is built mostly around vegetarian and vegan dishes. My boyfriend and I were the least fashionable people out there since we ordered only meat for our mains. But hey, at least we had a salad for starter- which btw, it`s a pretty good salad.

Sprouting beans & seeds salad with crispy citrus chicken skin (15/20)

Pigeon with sauerkraut (16/20)- definitely the better main out of the two.

Lamb with egg (14/20)- good but not great.

And the star of the meal: the lemon tart with fruit compote (20/20). The best lemon tart I`ve had... ever. I`m just gonna keep saying this till someone tells me to stop.

The service wasn`t so amazing, it took us around 2 hours to finish the whole lunch and we had to always chase the waitress to either remind her to bring us the dessert menu, get our order, etc. But the good food saved the experience from going horribly wrong.
