Holiday Wardrobe: What to wear in Turkey

what to wear in turkey
Istanbul

Chic & modern, Istanbul fashion is one to be watched. Everyone is extremely stylish so it`s worthwhile bringing a few smart clothing items especially if you`re planning to go out at night to restaurants or clubs. In the summer it can get quite cold so light linen or cotton clothing is the best. And to keep your outfit from being too plain you can accessorize with some amazing, colorful necklaces and bracelets. During winter the temperatures can drop to around 15 degrees so a light coat or jacket is necessary. For women it`s good to bring a scarf to cover your head if you`re planning on visiting any of the city`s beautiful mosques.

Bodrum

Bodrum is where the fashionable set come for their beach holidays. It can get extremely hot during the day in summer so pack light cotton clothing, kimonos, and a hat, alongside your swimwear. Colourful maxi dresses that you can take from day to night are a great option. For men it`s good to bring a few light weight trousers and shirts for going out at night. Some smart footwear for both men & women are a good idea for dinner or going out in clubs.

Antalya

Antalya is a favourite among families with plenty of affordable resorts, restaurants, cafes and shopping. The temperatures can reach up to 40 degrees in summer although there is a light sea breeze, which makes the heat a bit more bearable. Similar to Bodrum, hats, sandals, and lightweight dresses for summer with maybe a scarf for nights are a good option.

Cappadocia

The best way to see Cappadocia is from high above which is why air balloons are so popular here. This is definitely one of my top experiences to try. In terms of clothing, comfortable shorts or trousers, sneakers or light boots, and potentially a jacket can help protect you from the wind. The most important thing to remember when packing for Cappadocia is having good quality, comfortable footwear for walking.
