Kai Mayfair Restaurant Review

Kai is a Michelin star Chinese restaurant situated in Mayfair in London. Although the dishes were quite pricey the food was very good and both the boy and I enjoyed our dinner here. We started with soft shelled crab (16/20) which was lovely cooked and went really well with the dressing.

My boyfriend also had the hot and sour soup (13/20). Which was extremely praised by the restaurant in the menu. Unfortunately neither my boyfriend and I felt that the soup raised to the high standard the restaurant made us expect.

The tiger prawns with crispy curry leaves (18/20) was definitely my favourite dish of the evening. The mix of flavours was beautiful and the prawns were very well cooked.

For the meat dish we had the soy & honey marinated lamb (14/20) which was good but didn`t feel very Chinese.
