- There are many boutique hotels in Copenhagen however I did find that many of them were overpriced for what you get. During my trip I stayed at Skt Petri (read my Skt Petri hotel review) which had a great 3 nights for the price of 2 offer and a great location right in the Latin Quarter centre, close to all the restaurants and attractions.
- For eco chic options you can try Babette Guldsmeden or Carlton Guldsmeden.
- For extra luxury the Nimb Hotel is housed in a Moorish inspired building.
Where to eat in Copenhagen:
Copenhagen has recently emerged as a mecca for foodies, housing the best restaurant in the world - Noma. Although I didn`t get to eat there this time (reservations go out months in advance) there are still plenty of good food options around, some of them even opened by former Noma chefs.
- Manfreds & Vin, and Relae are two local favourites serving Nordic food situated just vis-a-vis of each other.
- For more Nordic cuisine head to Host which has a great design as well as good food
- For sweet tooth head to Conditori La Glace bakery for the most amazing cakes in one of the most amazing settings
- Kalaset is another quirky cafe that serves amazing brunches
- Atlas Bar is a great option if you`re a solo traveller and the menu is a mixture from around the world
Quirky interior and delicious food at Atlas Bar.
- While in Copenhagen don`t forget to try a traditional Danish hot dog from a street stand which is absolutely delicious
The most badass hot dog I ever had
Things to do in Copenhagen:- Spend an afternoon at Tivoli Gardens which is a beautiful amusement park
- Take a stroll along Nyhavn and stop for a coffee while admiring the view
- Visit the Latin Quarter for beautiful buildings and great restaurants
- Spend a morning at Torvehallerne - an amazing, more upscale indoor food market
- Rosenborg Slot Castle is very cute and has a beautiful park
- Take a half day trip to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art which houses works of art from artists such as Andy Warhol, Picasso, and Yves Klein.
- If you`re spending quite a few days in Copenhagen then you can take the direct train to Malmo in Sweden.
