Michelin star lunch in Florence: La Bottega del Buon Caffe

One of our highlights of our trip to Florence was the fantastic lunch we had at Michelin star restaurant: La Bottega del Buon Caffe. I love Italian food and getting to enjoy Michelin star Italian food it was definitely an experience to remember.
We started off with two lovely amuse bouche: a crispy carrot and foie gras disguised as a tomato, followed by a sort of potatoes foam with dried crispy vegetables on top. Both were very delicate and delicious.

My partner`s red prawns starter was very pretty and delicious and I must admit I was eyeing it the whole time.

I had the octopus which was amazing and a really large portion for a starter. I was quite full after this and I was getting worried I won`t be able to make it through till dessert.

After starters we followed with two pasta dishes (after all we were in Italy). The cappelletti filled with pigeon, butter and thyme, and the taglierini with red mullet and celery. Both were absolutely amazing and the pasta was cooked perfectly.

For dessert we decided to share a tiramisu which was fantastic and I regretted ordering just 1 immediately as I took the first bite.
