Best desserts I`ve had while travelling

I LOVE desserts. Whenever I go to a restaurant the first thing I do is go to the dessert menu and see what they have. If it`s just a list of sorbets and cheese then I`m massively disappointed as I have a huge sweet tooth and I love finishing the meal with a bang. Writing this post was definitely a lot of fun for me and these desserts are my top 10 from my travels from the last 2 -3 years.

1. Banana parfait with pecan praline, raisins & rum in Oxfordshire at Sir Charles Napier
Sir Charles Napier holds 1 Michelin star but after that dessert in my eyes it deserves 3. The parfait went great with the pecans, raisins and rum. A flavour combination I could have any day of the week.

2. Tiramisu in Madeira at Belmond Reid
Hands down the best tiramisu I ever had. Once you crack that chocolate cover you`re in dessert heaven.

3. Lemon tart at Hartnett & Holder, Limewood hotel in New Forest
The food at this place is beyond amazing and this lemon tart was one of the best I`ve ever had.

4. Hot chocolate in Paris at Angelina
A hot chocolate so good it deserves to be on this list. I`m planning of going back to Paris this fall and this place will be on my top places to revisit.

5. Banana cake, salted caramel ice cream, almonds & coconut flakes in Bangkok at Sra Bua, Siam Kempinski
Banana cake, caramel with coconut and almonds - from the moment I saw this on the menu I knew I`ll love this dessert.

6. Tiramisu in Florence at La Bottega del Buon Caffe
I love tiramisu and this one in Florence was beautiful although not as mind-blowing as the one I`ve had in Madeira.

7. Chocolate cake with cookies, raspberries, ice cream in Perth, Australia at Bread in Common
I wish I could remember the name of the dish exactly how it was on the menu but it was so long ago I can only remember the ingredients. This dessert was definitely the star of the meal. As it was a very hot night the raspberries, blueberries, and ice cream added a great freshness to the dish.

8. Snickers in Stockholm at Speceriet
Stockholm is a very expensive city and eating out can take a big bite of your travelling budget. However one of the great things about this Nordic city is that most Michelin star restaurants have a sister, more affordable option right next door and the food is amazing. The dinner we head at Speceriet was our favourite of the whole trip and especially loved this snickers inspired dessert.

9. Pistachio gelato in Venice at Vizio Virtu
Pistachio is my favourite gelato flavour and the one I order the most. If you`re in Venice you need to try the Vizio Virtu gelato and chocolates - they`re amazing!

10. Daan taat in Hong Kong or Singapore
I love having these delicious egg custard tarts for dim sum on Sundays and one of the best I`ve had are the ones from Hong Kong or Singapore.
