The stylish Berlin travel guide

Where to stay:
  • We stayed at Waldorf Astoria which had a very central location and an amazing spa, however we found that there were limited food options in the area so we were always relying on taxis or public transport.

Where to eat:
  • For traditional German food we loved restaurant Florian and Ottenthal
  • For breakfast or a delicious brunch head to Cafe Wintergarten or Nest Cafe in Kreuzberg, both of them were fantastic

  • For something more luxurious head to Pauly Saal where we had one of the best meals of the trip
  • Taverna Ousies does some amazing Greek food, very traditional and delicious
  • Something more upscale head to Das Lokal or La Soupe Populaire
  • For currywurst try Curry36 or for kebab (Berlin is famous for them!) head to Mustafa`s 
Things to do:
  • Visit the cool Kreuzberg area, do some shopping and check out the very affordable cafes
  • Check out some markets: Hackescher market, Markthalle Neun, Kollwitzplatz, Mauerpark, there are loads of them

  • Head for a cabaret show or if you feel like dancing, Berlin has some of the best nightclubs in Europe
  • Check out a few galleries and museums on Museum Island
  • Go to Hackesche Hofe and see the amazing street art near the Anne Frank museum
  • Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichstein, and Auguststrasse in Mitte were some of my favourite areas to just walk around and check out the cafes and boutiques
  • Visit Charlottenburg palace and its gardens

  3. I was just in Berlin last weekend and it was seriously such an incredible experience. I loved the street art by the Anne Frank museum and Kreuzberg seriously has to be the hippest little neighborhood I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing, it brought back so many amazing memories :)
