Modern Jerusalem food at Palomar

The Palomar is a cute little restaurant in Chinatown that serves modern Jerusalem food. The best dish of the evening was this beautiful polenta with truffle oil, parmesan, asparagus and mushroom ragout. Simple cooking at its best!
The fattoush salad was also quite nice and I loved the crunchiness of the pita croutons.

The aubergine and feta bourekas was a bit too heavy for me however.

The octopus with chickpeas and cherry tomatoes and the Jerusalem mix (a mix of chicken livers, hearts & veal sweetbreads) were very hearty and lovely.

Chocolate cremeux with nougat kataifi, whipped cream started well but by the end it just became a bit too sour for me.
